Connie Reece
In 2007 I created the Frozen Pea Fund, the first grassroots fundraising effort started solely on Twitter — long before Oprah or Ashton brought the microblogging service to mainstream attention. My work was featured in best-selling author Shel Israel’s Twitterville: How Businesses Can Thrive in the New Global Neighborhoods.
In 2009 I was honored to win the inaugural Texas Social Media Awards and was profiled by AustinWoman magazine as one of the top five women in social media in Austin.
Online, I have a reputation for showing off my hot pink boa, which matches people tell me matches my fun and outgoing personality. Like any good “hooker,” I admit to a hidden stash of yarn in my closet and enjoy designing my own crochet patterns.
