This is a “classic” All The Single Girlfriends post that was created for Mother’s Day 2011. We loved it so much that we wanted to take it out of our closet and wear it again. Hope you enjoy!
At our heart, All The Single Girlfriends is about women connecting with women. So of course, to dedicate a series of Mother’s Day posts was a natural for us.
As with all our girlfriend-to-girlfriend conversations, our Mother’s Day posts reflect the diversity of who we are and how our mothers’ have influenced our lives.
You’ll find stories of sweet, sad and funny memories. There are also points of view of lifestyles chosen that are very different from our mothers.
We are the lucky ones, who although our relationships with our moms might have been turbulent at times, we knew we could eventually .. always “go home to her.”
In celebration of the women, who as Sybil puts it is “the one person who grew me, knew me, and loved me”, Marianne has created this amazing video using photos of GF authors’ moms and words we remember our them saying. The Girlfriend Authors’ tell the stories of their moms.
