                  Sometimes when you color outside the lines magic happens! About 8 weeks ago a group of women joined together to launch a special social destination site, All The Single Girlfriends. We wanted to show the world that women 40+, who just  happened to be single (or who don’t take their total identify from their marriage, husband or kids) are living their lives with style and denial. Denial that .. we are not fabulous .. that we are not invisible . . that we are not all the same. Disease is not an easy subject for people to chat about. Actually they avoid it at all costs. I always thought that after everything I had been through, I could always count on my girlfriends to lift me up when I was down. Not so, I learned that disease is kind of like divorce it separates you from certain folks. You know how divorce or a break-up causes groups of friends to feel an allegiance to the husband, wife or partner? Well guess what? Sometimes it happens when you lose someone due to death. Okay, I’ll admit it. Valentine ’s Day is one of those times when not being a part of a couple can be challenging. Sure, there are endless cards- from syrupy to snappy – honoring the other relationships in our lives – dear friends, special relatives, dependent pets, you name it, the marketers have it all covered.
