We’re excited to launch a very special interview series on All The Single Girlfriends — “Girlfriends Helping Girlfriends.” Through creating a forum to tell the stories of girlfriends, who are making a difference in the lives of women and young girls,  we hope to honor these amazing women and inspire us all! Please join me in welcoming … Lya  Sorano, CEO The Oliver/Sorano Group, Inc. Favorite Quote: One’s life has value so long as one attributes value to the life of others, by means of love, friendship and compassion. ~ Simone de Beauvoir atsGf/Toby: Who are you beyond your professional resume? A Bittersweet Mother’s Day

May 6, 2011 by

Guest Post Complements of  Sybil F. Stershic It’s been four years since I lost my beloved mother, and my life hasn’t been the same since. I think of her and miss her every day. While she’s in my heart, what I wouldn’t give to have her physically here in my life (without the cancer that took her away). Losing a mother is so profound, especially when you’re blessed – like I was – to have come from such a loving, giving woman. There’s the absence of that very special bond with the one person who grew me, knew me, and loved me. Ask The Girlfriends

Apr 7, 2011 by

This post is the first in an All The Single Girlfriends series: Ask The Girlfriends. We thought the collective life  experience/”wisdom” of the Gf authors might help younger women sort through a few of life’s challenges. Most of us realize by the time we reach our age that we left some great advice sitting unused on the table because it came from our mothers or some other purveyor of unsolicited advice designed it seemed only to burst our bubbles or cramp our style. With this series we’re reaching out to women under 30 and asking them to provide a question to us that they want some help...

Sometimes when you color outside the lines magic happens! About 8 weeks ago a group of women joined together to launch a special social destination site, All The Single Girlfriends. We wanted to show the world that women 40+, who just  happened to be single (or who don’t take their total identify from their marriage, husband or kids) are living their lives with style and denial. Denial that .. we are not fabulous .. that we are not invisible . . that we are not all the same. It’s important to acknowledge the small successes along the way .. and 100 posts is cause for us to break out the bubbly.. even if it is virtual! Meet the Gf Authors! Each Gf author brings a unique idea...

Dishin’ With All The Single Girlfriends...

Mar 18, 2011 by

More often than not, girlfriend-to-girlfriend talk happens over food: a meal,  a sweet, perhaps coffee or a glass of wine, a Tini or your favorite beverage. Although we might not be able to dish over a dish (ouch did I really say that?) we can share some recipes, thoughts, memories and reviews. Foodie Friday is talking about anything and everything foodie related. This week Gfs are serving up ..  humor from Bonnie and Mary to reviews from Dorothea and recipes from Tani, Rebecca, Marianne and Jilly to a walk down memory lane from Toby.  Enjoy and let us know your foodie...
