Great conversation. I kept my last name and hyphenated with his for my first marriage over 30 years ago. But that was because I thought we would have children and I didn’t want them confused. We didn’t, and didn’t stay married either. With the second husband (19 years later) I knew we wouldn’t have children and didn’t bother to change my name. I didn’t want to, he didn’t care, so…I’ve been Irene Turner my whole life, and I like it!
